Former Speaker Newt Gingrich Headlines Events for Carroll, Republican Party of Iowa

Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich visited three Iowa communities this weekend to raise campaign funds for Republican legislative candidates and Iowa House Speaker Pro Tem Danny Carroll of Grinnell.

Gingrich, a potential 2008 presidential candidate, was the featured guest at events in Mason City and Cedar Rapids to raise funds and awareness for 2006 Iowa legislative candidates through the Legislative Majority Fund.  He also toured the Carroll Pumpkin Farm, which is a model of agri-tourism.

This October, the farm hosted more than 15,000 visitors. Gingrich also spoke to an audience of approximately 100 central Iowa Republicans at the farm.

The Concept Works provided logistical assistance for the visit on behalf of two clients, Carroll and the Republican Party of Iowa.  The firm’s employees teamed with the Republican Party of Iowa staff and Carroll family to ensure the success of all three events.

“Iowans were thrilled to see Speaker Gingrich and hear his innovative perspective on health care and other challenges facing the country.  We greatly appreciate his support of Iowa legislative candidates in general and Speaker Pro Tem Carroll in particular,” company owner Eric Woolson said. “The Concept Works team was delighted to play a part in the success of these three events and we look forward to working on similar events in the future.”
