IowaPolitics.com is a new business venture launched this week by WisPolitics.com, Wisconsin's premier political news service. Additional information, including a free trial offer, is available at www.iowapolitics.com
“The free Web site at WisPolitics.com averages more than 3 million hits each month from more than 25,000 unique users,” said Jeff Mayers, WisPolitics president and editor. “But the real value goes to our hundreds of paying subscribers who get the unique products and timely information that we provide. We're building that same solid base in Iowa with a wealth of breaking news, a daily compilation of all the political coverage important to people who need to know what's going on, and insightful political reporting and commentary. The real value to advertisers lies in our unique and valuable viewing audience. WisPolitics viewers are educated, successful and driven to succeed, and we know IowaPolitics.com subscribers will be all that and more.”
Woolson, a former political writer for the Waterloo Courier, is also participating in a project by public radio stations in New Hampshire and Iowa to provide voters with impressions of the 2004 presidential campaign. Called the “Primary Frontline Pen Pals,” New Hampshire Public Radio and KUNI Public Radio in Cedar Falls has “brought together a mix of experts and regular voters to pass notes back and forth about the campaign action they see and hear on their home turf.” Woolson was chosen as the Republican strategist from Iowa. He teams with Brian McCabe from New Hampshire to provide “The GOP View.”
